Our Philosophy
Students of all abilities can contribute meaningfully to enhance learning for all. At Stem-On-Call, we strive to provide meaningful, enriching STEM activities and lessons to help students learn problem-solving skills for a better future.
Our Mission
We believe that hands-on learning is the most effective way to learn. That's why we incorporate practical, real-world projects into our courses and programs to help you apply what students learn in a meaningful way. Jobs in the STEM world are always increasing and needed, we strive to prepare students for this future utilizing STEM practices. S.T.E.M. describes the four closely related subjects; Science, Technology, Engineering, Math. Often (A)rts are included to create STEAM using project-based learning as a basic framework.
Flexible Learning Options
We offer a variety of services that are designed to meet the needs of our customers. From quick, one-stop lessons to large projects, animal visits, and more!
Students will work in small collaborative groups with all abilities invited to work on problems to foster communication skills.
Options for independent projects can be provided for an additional fee.
Our Teacher
Ann-Marie Sheehan, a passionate educator and co-founder of a homestead in Florida, brings over a decade of diverse teaching experience to the field of STEM education.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Geological and Earth Sciences from William Paterson University in New Jersey, where her academic journey ignited a deep-rooted passion for science and education. Her passion for teaching led her to pursue a Master's degree in STEM Education Leadership from the American College of Education, to further her knowledge and expertise in the subject.
Transitioning from a successful teaching career, Ann-Marie, alongside her husband, established a homestead in Florida to be closer to family and to contribute meaningfully to the local community. Here, she continues her passion for education, seeking to address the community's growing need for STEM education through hands-on, real-world learning opportunities that reflect her expertise and dedication to nurturing young minds.
